Sales Guidelines
Sales etiquette
- When the lobby is busy we tend to form a sales ‘queue’ as many people enjoy making GTA$ helping sell businesses, one after the other. Just ask in the chat for help and if there is a queue, someone will tell you in what order we are selling.
- Sometimes there may be a legitimate reason for which you need to jump the sales queue, just ask, and if people are available they may help. However, taking repeated unfair advantage will not be tolerated.
- There is a difference in bluntly announcing you have sales to make, and politely asking crew for available help in selling your businesses. Showing some respect to others will see others gladly helping you.
- If you have multiple sales to make, but know you need to leave immediately after those sales are done – in the interests of fairness you should spend the time you do have selling only one or some of your businesses, or leaving them for another time.
- Getting help selling your businesses, then immediately going idle, or away from controller, is an unfair and sly tactic and should be avoided. If you know you can not spend time helping those who put in effort for you, then leave your sales for another time that better suits.
- Be courteous to those helping you sell your business. Being genuinely thankful after a sale goes a long way and lets people know their effort put in for you is appreciated. You are the one banking GTA$ after all.
MC Business/Bunker Sale Tips
- When selling Gunrunning goods (Bunkers), sell as Motorcycle Club president. It gives your MC members more GTA$ in their pocket, but also means you can hire more crew.
- For Gunrunning and Motorcycle business sales, always utilise and appoint a member as ‘Road Captain’. They can spawn a buzzard for quick transport.
- To speed up the MC sales process, in certain circumstances as MC president, you can move to your next business and let your MC members take control of your product. Ask in the chat.
- In the case of individual MC bag deliveries, allow the MC president to deliver and transport themselves to their next business before delivering the final bag of product. This avoids disbanding, cuts down on raids and speeds up the sales process.
- If you can’t get to your next sale then remember to disband, as that way you cut down the risk of raids and frees up your MC members.
- During seaplane or chopper MC deliveries, the passenger has to drop the product, so if you simply must sit as a passenger, be attentive at each drop location.
- ‘Post Op’ vans are arguably the worst method of delivery in the game. During Post Op deliveries, it is advisable that ALL members of the MC club are in some way helping to speed up the process, including the MC president. If you are not driving, simply push the Post Op van with a heavy vehicle.
- Do not push ‘Garbage Truck’ deliveries unless you have asked the driver if he/she would like to be pushed.
- Most of the crew do not source supplies for either MC businesses or Gunrunning (bunker) businesses, therefore are reluctant to help you do so. This is simply because the cost of buying supplies is quickly replenished by simply helping crew. Do not be offended if you can not get help to source these type of supplies.
- Please, do NOT drop proximity mines using any vehicle. Use your drive by weapons to deal with chasing NPC bikers etc. Mines stay on the ground and can damage other players, and their product.
- When selling gun running businesses, ‘Dune FAV’ vehicles can easily get stuck or wedged in difficult places around the map causing them to be destroyed, and costing the MC president GTA$. If you feel uncomfortable driving these vehicles, or are new to the game, let someone else who is comfortable with them take over and deliver the product.
Session guidelines
Joining a session
When coming online, Join crew members through the Online menu of GTA (might take a few attempts). If that does not work, ask on chat if there is a session and who to join.
If you need to join on a crew member that is showing online but not in your friendslist, you can join through the GTA menu:
Online - Crews - My crews - 1MOO - View members, and select the crew member to join.
Never sent game invites.
Setting up a session
When no session is available or a new one needs to be made, 2 crew members are needed.
- Member A: to setup a low MTU session.
- Member B: to lag out and host the session.
To setup a new session, follow these steps:
- Member A needs to setup a low MTU session:
- Go to story mode.
- Open the settings of your PS4.
- Go to network settings.
- Configure your network with custom settings.
- Leave all the defaults, except the MTU.
- Set the MTU to the lowest possible setting that will still allow you to get online. This varies from player to player, even time of day can have an impact on this value. Typically anything below 800 should work for the next steps.
- When the low MTU session is up, member A should show online.
- Member B needs to join Member A, this is best done through the PSN menu as the in-game menu may not show Member A.
- At this point Member A and B should both show offline.
- Once Member B joined the low MTU session of Member A, Member B needs to lag out. This can be done in various ways:
- Member A specates Member B.
- Member B runs the VIP job Fortified, blowing up the NPC enemies usually triggers the lagging out of Member B.
- Member B runs the VIP job Haulage, using the Phantom wedge to haul the trailer. Having Member A nearby does help Member B to lag out.
- General mayham like explosions when both players are close may also trigger the lagging out of Member B.
- Once Member B has lagged out he or she should ensure that in the first 10 minutes no randoms join the session. If a random joins, the session will not hold and a new one should be made. It may take a few attempts to get a clean session started.
- If the session stays clean, other crew should try to join while Member B is offline.
- If joining fails, Member B can briefly show online so other crew can join but Member B should be offline again as soon as possible.
- If all goes well Member B should now be hosting a clean, random-free session.
- Member A can go back to his or hers normal network settings and join the clean session.
Once Member B leaves the session, chances are randoms start finding their way in and the session will be lost. If the host leaves, be on the lookout for any randoms.
Why not just use the low MTU session? Because when you lag unintentionally, during a sale your product may be either destroyed or you may have to deal with a lenghty sale solo. Losses have occured this way and can easily be prevented by not selling in any low MTU sessions.
